Yesterday, Mason and I went to the Duck Daze in University Place for the first time. We both had a great time and the weather turned out to be perfect. This was Mason’s first time going to a parade and I had no idea what to expect from him but he was very good, we arrived a little before it began so he wouldn’t get bored sitting there too long. It was a short parade but fun way to spend a beautiful Saturday. Then when the parade was done we walked around and looked at the booths, the car show and his favorite part was standing in the firetrucks and looking at those. I just wished we would of been able to stay longer and look around more but he started getting cranky and tired. So we walked back to our car and he fell right asleep.
Tips for taking your toddlers to parades: 1. don’t arrive too early or they will get bored by the time it starts 2. bring plenty of snacks and don’t forget a toy for them to play with
