Here is a list of traditions and festivals we like to attend every year.
Get a real tree.
Santa picture at our town’s tree lighting ceremony.
Cookie exchange with family.
Candy advent calendar.
Make a gingerbread house.
Play in the snow.
Drive around look at neighborhood lights.
Get a new ornament every year. Watch as many holiday movies as I can and Christmas music non stop :)
Holiday play dates & Family parties.
Put wish list in mail & Elves pick it up in the middle of the night. Toy donation. We donate a few new ones. I also like to clean out his room to make room for new stuff.
Leave out cookies, milk and carrots for Santa and the reindeer.
Mason gets to open a pair of pajamas on Christmas eve. & of course we read Twas the night before Christmas on the 24th.
And we’re doing things a little different for Christmas this year; the 23rd/24th morning my husbands parents, niece and nephew are coming to spend the night and do gift exchanges.
Afternoon of Christmas eve my parents, sister and niece are coming over for gift exchange and a small lunch(probably some sort of chili and cornbread) and in the evening we’re going to zoolights. Christmas day will be a ham dinner just the three of us, and I’m hoping to volunteer at a soup kitchen that day.
